Grant Mason Hedrick

April 18, 1991 – November 29, 2017

Grant lived a beautiful life of 26 years. On Wednesday, November 29, 2017 he was welcomed with open arms to our heavenly Father. His life was far too short but he was an inspiration to all he encountered. He was a nine-year brain cancer survivor and fought ever battle with courage and perseverance. He possessed great strength, a gentle heart, and an incredible ability to overcome physical challenges. He taught all who knew him to appreciate and find happiness in the little things in life. He lived each day with a contagious smile and a thumbs up.

Grant graduated from Neuqua Valley High School in Naperville, IL in 2009. He had a passion for playing volleyball both at NVHS and Sports Performance. He worked at Giordano’s pizza and enjoyed playing music, fishing, and painting pottery. He was a huge fan of the Kansas Jayhawks basketball team and liked to travel around the country. He lived by the Bible verse Romans 8:31, “If God is for us, who can be against us.”

The Hedrick family is motivated to bring more awareness and help aid in raising funds toward brain cancer research. Let’s help find a cure!
