Crystal lost her battle on March 6, 2018. She fought a good fight and proved that you could truly be happy even though dealing with a life-threatening illness. Crystal laughed, sang and really enjoyed her last few months of life. She taught us a lot about life and love. She is survived by a 13-year-old daughter whom she loved dearly! We miss Crystal every day but find comfort in knowing she is at peace and no longer suffering.

Thanks to the Brainup organization for honoring Crystal with her 2017 Bravery award. It meant so much to her to be celebrated during her struggle. Seeing survivors and others who understood what she was enduring gave Crystal so much hope. Thank you for all your organization has done for Crystal!
